AMNSIS arranged for a drama workshop for the students of grade 8 to aid them foster a community for everyone involved. It was a remarkable showcase of their theatrical journey.
The objective of this theatrical fiesta was to encourage creativity choices and enhance creative writing skills through character work.The themes chosen for the drama was to promote cultural awareness and education, that lead to greater empathy and stronger emotional intelligence.Over the past seven months, these young performers have undergone rigorous training in voice modulation, body movement, and ensemble building. Their learning extended beyond performance, as they also explored scriptwriting and direction, making this event a true culmination of their creative efforts.
As part of their training, students engaged in multiple script readings, carefully selecting four plays to bring to life on stage. These plays covered a diverse range of genres, from drama and farce to social commentary and contemporary themes. The showcase featured thought-provoking performances, including The Day the Internet Died and Masterclass, each reflecting the students' ability to tackle varied storytelling styles with depth and confidence.
The entire event was conceptualized, designed, and executed by the students, demonstrating their ability to collaborate and take creative ownership. Parents and fellow students were captivated by their dedication and talent, witnessing firsthand the result of months of hard work and passion. Theatre Fiesta 2024-25 was not just a performance—it was a testament to the power of learning, teamwork, and artistic expression.
We are highly grateful to our Respected Principal for this exposure and the platform provided to our students. It was indeed a grand success, leaving a lasting impact on the audience and reinforcing the message of team work to our students.
