AMNSIS organised a Career Counselling session for the students of class 9 and 11 for job opportunities in the Merchant Navy and Marine Logistics on 06.01.2025.
The purpose of this session was to provide the students with a unique and adventurous career path especially the aspiring seafarers. The founder of RIFE Academy along with a Marine Engineer and a Deck Officer highlighted the crucial role merchant Navy plays in the Indian economy. It also offers a wide range of career options, both offshore and onshore. The resource people elaborated on the working of this industry with explicit details. The students were also elucidated with the subject, stream and life-skill requirements, benefits and future prospects of joining the given career. Students had an exposition of ample information about the training programs and the primary pathways to pursue this option.
The session was quite an interactive one with the students asking numerous questions on this off-beat career choice and getting their answers.
This opportunity has definitely widened and brightened the vision of the students for a career choice in the Merchant Navy!
