The student council of AMNSIS organised the Confluence, a three day Inter-school event, from 23 October to 25 October, wherein many schools of Surat participated in the different events.
The first day included Quiz-a-Palooza which tested the students knowledge of current affairs, history, geography and other subjects.
Out of the ten schools that participated in the quiz, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan won the first place while Shri Radha Krishna Hare Krishna Academy stood second.
On the second day young and aspiring footballers and basket ball players competed with each other to win the trophy. S.D Jain school bagged the champions trophy in both the sports while G.D. Goenka and Tapti Valley came second in football and basketball respectively.
The third and the final day of the Confluence witnessed the battle of words among young budding orators as they participated in The Debate Dash which provided bright young minds and passionate debating enthusiast to showcase their knowledge and creativity. The debate, which followed the ISDS format, saw G.D. Goenka school bagging the first place while Reliance Foundation school bagged the second position.
AMNSIS participated in the events but being the host school, did not compete for positions.
The Confluence was a unique experience as it was completely managed by the student council of the school giving them an opportunity to gain practical experience of managing such a grand event, testing their management skills, team work and coordination.
