In October, 93 students of Class IX ABC at AMNS International School, Surat, participated in Activity 6 of the "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" initiative, creating four informative display boards on the history, geography, art, culture, and economy of Jammu and Kashmir. This activity, part of the Ministry of Education's initiative to foster national integration, saw our students delve into research and collaboration. Guided by their Social Science and Art teachers, they utilized interviews, textbooks, and online resources to curate these boards. Their work highlights the cultural diversity and unity of India, reflecting the spirit of the "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" initiative.
In continuation with the 'Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat' program, students from the primary section of our school participated in a plantation drive in the month of July. The initiative aimed to promote environmental consciousness, cultural exchange and linguistic learning among students. The plantation activity was carried out along the edges of the playground within the school premises.
The activities included study and discussion on the importance of growing plants, discussion on care and maintenance, learning the names of various plants in both Kashmiri and Gujarati languages, planting and tagging the plants with their name in both Gujarati and Kashmiri.
This program was an enriching experience with unique activities that encouraged students to appreciate and respect cultural diversity. The students also committed to care for the plants planted by them.
